If your organization uses the Microsoft Defender for Office safe links feature, or if you use a third-party solution that scans all incoming and outgoing URLs for threats, it may change the meeting join URLs and make the meeting unrecognizable by the Teams Rooms device.
If you use a third-party solution, refer to the instructions for that solution to add URLs to its URL rewrite exception list. Here are some example entries that you may need to add to your Defender for Office Safe Links Do not rewrite list or third-party URL rewrite exception list:.
For a complete list of URLs to add to your Defender for Office Safe Links Do not rewrite list or third-party URL rewrite exception list, contact the third-party meeting service provider you want to accept meeting invites from. The last step you need to do is allow Teams Rooms to join third-party meetings.
Third-party meetings require a username and email address to join them. If the username and email address that you need to use is different than the device's room mailbox, you need to add them to your device.
The following settings can be added to the SkypeSettings. These resource accounts can automatically respond to meeting invites using rules you define when they're created. Unless Teams Rooms is dedicated to a specific individual for their private use, we recommend setting up a Microsoft resource account for it.
If you decide to set up a Microsoft resource account, you'll need to purchase a Meeting Room license for it. The Meeting Room license includes a resource mailbox that enables people in your organization to book the meeting room via Outlook or Teams.
The license also enables video and audio conferencing and screen sharing among meeting participants. If you need to receive or make calls to or from an external telephone number, you may need a Calling Plan or Microsoft Business Voice add-on license.
When you create a resource account, you can choose whether to let the account automatically accept or decline meeting requests, allow recurring meetings, specify how far in advance people can book the resource, and so on. Microsoft resource accounts aren't the same as Teams resource accounts. Teams resource accounts can be used with call queues and auto attendants to accept phone calls from external phone numbers. Microsoft resource accounts are tied to an Exchange Online mailbox and enable booking of shared resources, such as rooms, projectors, and so on.

If you plan on using Microsoft resource accounts to let users book collaboration bars, follow the instructions in Create a resource account using the Microsoft admin center to create a Microsoft resource account for each collaboration bar that needs one.
Participate in meetings. Change the layout. The integrated Teams Rooms device, containing speakers, mics, and a camera, is mounted on the front-of-room display. The touch console on the desk controls the meeting experience. During installation, the console and the integrated device are paired so that you can manage the system from anywhere in the space. If a touch console isn't available, you can operate the system using a physical remote, or on-screen touch controls if you have a touch-screen display.
Several certified Teams Rooms solutions are currently available see Teams Rooms devices , with more coming soon. They come in various configurations to fit your space and requirements. These models integrate mics, speakers, and camera in a single device, making them particularly easy to install and use. When a touch console is paired with the integrated device, you can perform all your meeting-related tasks from your seat, including joining meetings from the home screen, starting instant meetings, and making calls.
Sign in to Teams Rooms with an account and password, or select Sign in from another device to use your computer or phone. Use your personal account for a Teams Rooms system that you set up at home, or the resource account when setting up a conference room in a shared space. If you're pairing a touch console with your integrated device, follow these steps: a. Sign in to the console with the same account you used in step 1. On the console, enter the pairing code that appears on the connected display.
When you schedule meetings, be sure to "invite" the Teams Rooms account so that the meeting will appear on the home screen.
